quejimenez artisan leather handbags are currently produced entirely by hand in the old tradtion of saddlery by myself, kiandra. they are designed with an approach to traditional methods and aesthetics of leather saddlery but veer towards a simplistic yet modern perspective of the old style. my goal of this deciation is 2-fold, to allow the artististry of techniques and materials to transcend tradition and take center focus and to allow for a whimsical design that provides the space for inspirational quotes on life.
it is from this direction i am then allowed to inject whimsy....love...peace and balance into an everyday essential object.
i believe we populate our lives with thoughts, words and feelings...my objective is to color those thoughts with inspiration, optimism, whimsy, balance and peace.
