order & shipping policies
payment
i accept payments in paypal and credit card only at this time. if you absolutely need another method contact me and we can work something out.
all bags are created custom for every order once payment is received in total, unless you are buying a "ready to ship" item.
i am willing to offer lay-a-away. for lay-a-way purchases, a small down payment is made, and payment is arranged in regular installments per your instructions. your bag will not be made until the total amount is paid in full.
all lay-a-way payments are considered a down payment and will not be refunded, however payments never expire...and you can take as long as you need in paying for your bag.
custom ordering
when placing your custom order, please be sure to give me as much detail information as possible, the more information you provide me with, the more accurately i can create your perfect bag.
color: when choosing a custom color, please supply me with as many web photos as possible of the idea color. i will create a set of color swatches for you, take a picture and email them to you for final decision. if you want to see the color before we commit it to leather i can create a set of color swatches to send you for $10 (which i will take off the final price of your bag if you purchase one).
strap length: when choosing a custom strap length measure a) a strap that fits you perfectly; or b) take a string, ribbon, or measuring tape and place it on your body the way you'd like the strap to fit. give me the full measurement from end to end (to the top of the bag). i will add the extra needed to attach the strap to your bag.
increasing/decreasing bag size: in some cases, for some bag designs i can either increase or decrease the bag size proportionally. these increases/decreases shouldn't be too large changes as they will alter the design proportions. please contact me and we can discuss your ideas.
original designs: there are sometimes that i can create completely original designs, i cannot guarantee anything, but i am willing to try.
turn around time
when ordering a "ready to ship" item, please allow three days for me to process and ship your item (or sooner!).
when ordering a custom made item please allow 7-10 days for me to create your bag.
if your ordering an original custom design, please allow more time for me to create a new pattern and create your bag. i will be communicating with you about how the process is coming along and give you a general "time frame" of when i expect to be done with your bag.
shipping
because i value my work and your investment all quejimenez products are shipped priority mail with insurance, no exceptions. (this way in the case of any loss or damage, we are both protected) domestic orders are sent priority u.s. mail, international orders are shipped priority international, both with insurance.
domestic priority shipping is 2-3 days depending on your distance from me. i'm located in southern ca. so anything west of the mississippi generally fall within the 2 day frame, while eastern coast 3 days.
I always send a complimentary email when your item is shipped and the best estimate of arrival time as given to me that day at the post office.
*please note that all domestic priority mail over $200, automatically requires a signature at delivery, unless waved to protect the shipment. if you'd like your signature requirement waved so the post person can leave your package without signature please let me know when placing your order, otherwise i will not wave the signature.
refunds and exchanges
i am a small one-woman business, because of the cost and time needed to create an original bag i cannot offer returns or exchanges on custom handbags. i understand that my bags are an investment and will communicate with you throughly before your bag is created to ensure that it is created exactly how you envision it.
if you purchase a "ready to ship" product, this may be exchanged for another item within 7 days of you receiving your item (this date would be 10 days from the day i ship, allowing shipping time). in the case of exchange, all shipping cost are incurred by the customer, and it is the customer's responsibility to insure the returned merchandised is safely returned.
