a techie girl...

yes its true...i've turned into a bit of a techie girl...

i waited..counted down the minutes...until this beautiful computer was released.

isn't she beautiful? and smart...and so musically tuned...oh and she's so social.

i think we will be best friends.

my plan tortured co-existence with verizon wireless (no link i don't want to send people to them) ends on the 11th. oh, what a lovely day it will be. and i will happily, joyfully, excitedly run, skip and trying my hardest to do cartwheels over to at&t...they've always been my favorite phone company. so i am begging and pleading with my lovely sister to follow me, just as i followed her over to verizon. (are you reading this nina?) i know you want to.

all of those of us who will be standing in line for an iphone...raise your hand *ki gets whiplash raising her arms and jumping up so fast

thank goodness they lowered the price...our phone budget was about $150 each...and once i sell my books from last year back...i'll have that much...so i may be able to get the white one...to match my ipod and imac.

i'm not materialistic...i'm really not. i shop at thrift stores, i shop at the dollar stores and wal-mart and what not...but, i really like apple products...and this phone...oh...this phone my sweet indulgence of the year (along with some cool baking supplies hopefully).

so yes, i watched the keynote, obssessed over all the leaking news...and e enabled me by constantly feeding me new emails of bits of news he'd find...and then worst of all...last week he says "don't get your hopes up too high, if they don't lower the price we can't afford it." he later changed his mind sunday saying he thinks i should get it, especially if the price was lowered...but i wasn't going to break our bank for a phone...even if i did want it really bad...but the minds at apple were combined into one great big brain that said..."we should lower the price" and they did...so ki may just be spending e's last vacation day standing in line in the wee hours of the morning...being one of the first ones to get an 3g iphone. oh july 11th can't come soon enough. hurry-up already!

another dreadful month with verizon...oh well...i see the light at the end of the tunnel...who's going towards the light with me?

i-pods and karma...

i have joined millions of other audiophiles....

i now own this.

particularly, I own the white 80gb.

i have spent the past three days, importing my cd collection of over 200 cds. buying some library fillers on itunes, and some audiobooks.

i am in hog-heaven. i was worried about spending so much money, but now i see how wonderful these things are.

so much to post about, being that i haven't in what a week? let's start with my "karma"

i have what i've been calling "broken karma" for about the last week.

it started with my braces, the back bracket started to break about a week before my next adjustment (today)...friday afternoon, i could barely eat...it was obvious i needed to get in asap. so i called, and got a emergency appt. on sat. they took off the broken bracket and reschedule my appointment for a fix-it appointment.
after this appt. we all headed to rancho...to the apple store...for mommies new gadget. and new polo shirts for papie. we leave happy, and are headed to target to find a case for the que-pod, when not even a mile off of the exit, with the kids sleep...the loudest noise is coming from the car...smoke, etc. the tire broke. we pull-off and thankfully have a deep shoulder to pull away from traffic. we survey the damage. bad. the whole side bumper is off, the small light, it is dented, and the hood would not stay down.

above all, we were very, calm...not upset...and got our heads together. we decided since we were walking distance from the offramp, and about five miles from home, that we could use our spare, head to costco or wal-mart and get a new tire. no problemo. right? i cut my hand "helping" e get the jack out. but then, we notice the spare has a screw in it. we laugh. e gets on the phone and calls aaa...i decide to join the kids in the car...hand out snacks and get back to my needle work. and of course call my mom.

aaa says 40 minutes tops. no problemo. e should of told them that he had wife and kids in the car
we later learned, an hour later from the super nice tow guy... it would of been a ten minute wait...they don't leave kids or women on the side of the road.

we get to wal-mart...next to target, jo-ann's, bestbuy...and lots of other stores...and find out it will be a hour and a half/two hour wait. no problemo. we walk around...to target, and bestbuy...hungry and tired. (the kids were the only ones who ate breakfast and snacks).

we get home around 9 pm...tired, drained, and grateful. we were all safe and happy. tired, but safe and happy.

monday, it appears my internet connection is broken...i keep getting booted out, and spent about a hour plus on the phone with apple getting it fixed. the problem? my phone, i need a new     cordless phone that doesn't interfere.
monday night...i broke my pinkie toe nail...by stubbing it, lots of blood...a band-aid and hugs from the kiddos.

it seems like the "breaking karma" broke with the toe-nail...and nothing else came apart or broke after. smile. i told e...everything else broke, so that the new que-pod wouldn't.

all and all, it has been a good week. no worries, no problemos. i am happy and grateful.
