I am deep into reading and researching for my senior capstone paper. This week I am reading The Bondwoman's Narrative and I am flat out in love.
I am also struggling through Algebra and managing a third class on Early American Literature. My summer workload was more intense, but I find that having things be slightly less instense is harder. I have grown so accustomed to moving full speed ahead that slowing down, just ever so slightly, wrecks my focus.
There is so much news I have to share, but I am still processing.
Also, I am really wading my way through slave narratives. Again, so much I want to say, but I am still trying to process and read through them. It is very difficult reading. Emotionally and spiritually.
In the meantime, I thought it would be nice to upload this video I had to do for my Senior Capstone class. We had to introduce ourselves, tell a little bit about ourselves, what we are reading/like to read, what we would like to focus on in our capstone, something that is bothering us, and finally something that is beautiful.
If nothing else, this sums up who I am.
As fall begins, I wish you all a great leap forward in life and spirit. I hope that happiness is settling in and cultivating a place in your life.
Paz y amour...ki
